The first flight to depart the Salt Lake International Airport, which was headed to Dallas-Fort Worth, left the airport at 2:54 p.m., according to airport officials.
The airport had previously been closed due to Wednesday morning’s earthquake. A tower was damaged, and there was some flooding in a concourse due to the quake.
The facilities were found to be safe, and passengers began moving through the airport again about 1:15 p.m., airport officials said on Twitter.
Flights that were diverted will be arriving soon, the airport said.
